Therese Johaug makes a long-awaited comeback again.
But now the Norwegian reveals his decisive decision for the season.
Which affects both Frida Karlsson and Ebba Andersson to the highest degree.
The Norwegian ski queen Therese Johaug is currently training fully ahead of his big return to cross-country skiing again. The 36-year-old has been away for just over two years from the world top, but has always kept going at his own level during his retirement.
Johaug’s decision
That is why it will be so incredibly exciting to see what level the Norwegian has managed to maintain during these years. Johaug has been clear that the big goal of the comeback is precisely the Skiing WC 2025 at home in Trondheim.
Now comes the ski star’s new announcement about the season and how she will compete at the World Cup. And it really affects the Swedish rivals Frida Karlsson and Ebba Andersson to the highest degree.
The article continues below.
Johaug plans to ride only eight races before the WC premiere next year. Where two of the races are in the national long-distance premiere in Beitostölen, Norway, and two races in the Norwegian championships in Hamar.
Ebba and Frida
Then there will be only four races in the World Cup before Christmas. Two starts during the World Cup premiere in Ruka, Finland, and two starts the following week in Lillehammer, Norway.

With that, Therese Johaug noobs the Tour de Ski completely, as well as the World Cup competitions in France, Switzerland and Falun in Sweden.
– It’s not that much. In other words, I have to try to go all out before Christmas, says Johaug, who must achieve good results to qualify for the WC squad, says Johaug to the Norwegian newspaper VG.
– I know that I am not dependent on others to get the match I need, because I am at the level I want and should be at.
Therefore, she will not be in the way of Frida and Ebba if they want to aim for the overall World Cup title next season. Johaug also follows exactly the same plan as she did for the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.
– In 2022, I barely competed between December and the Olympics. It was two months without a competition, she says in the interview.
