The police were called to a courtyard in the Persborg district at a quarter past one on Sunday afternoon.
A suspected dangerous object had been found at a bicycle rack and the residents were housed.
– There is currently nothing to indicate that the object is dangerous, says police spokesperson Patric Fors.
The bomb disposal unit examines the items
It is the second suspicious item found in Malmö on Sunday. During the morning, an object was found in a residential area in Fosie.
– The National Bomb Squad has examined the object and it is not explosive, but it could still be a criminal suspect, says Evelina Olsson, police spokesperson.
According to TV4 Nyheterna’s information, the object is located on a bicycle path and is currently being examined by the police’s bomb robot. Even bomb technicians, you are at the object to be x-rayed.
The bomb squad will also investigate the object found in the courtyard in Persborg.
Several similar events
In recent days, several dangerous objects have appeared in the city. During the night to Friday, an explosion occurred outside a restaurant in central Malmö. On the same night, three dangerous objects in the city were also neutralized.
It is currently unclear whether there is any connection between the various events.
– It is something that an investigator must answer. You have to look at whether people are connected to each other and whether there are threat images, that’s a deeper job, says Evelina Olsson.
