Pieterse makes history with first mountain bike world title

After two of the five rounds, Pieterse went solo. She clearly proved to be the strongest in Andorra. No one was able to come close to the Amersfoort rider. She crossed the line with a lead of more than a minute on compatriot Anne Terpstra, who came in second. On Saturday, Pieterse came in fourth in the sprint race.
