Harris criticizes Trump for disrespectful behavior at cemetery News

The Trump campaign has insulted a cemetery worker who prevented unauthorized filming.

US Democratic presidential candidate Terrible Harris accuses his Republican opponent Donald Trump having acted disrespectfully on hallowed ground.

Harris’ comments are related to Trump’s Monday visit to Arlington Military Cemetery in Virginia. During the visit, Trump violated rules that prohibit photography for political purposes.

The Republican presidential candidate posed with relatives of members of the US armed forces killed in Afghanistan. His presidential campaign later shared the photos on social media.

Among other things, Trump appears with the family members of a fallen marine soldier in a picture where he stands among the gravestones with a big grin on his face and shows a thumbs up.

– I want to make it clear: the former president did not respect the holy land, all because of a political trick, says Harris on the messaging service X.

“If there’s one thing we Americans can all agree on, it’s that our veterans, military families, and members of our armed forces should be respected, never disrespected, and treated only with our highest respect and gratitude,” Harris adds in his X update.

Armed forces in support of the cemetery worker

The U.S. military issued a rare statement on Thursday confirming that a cemetery worker had been abruptly pushed aside after asking Trump’s team to stop filming in a section of the cemetery where those killed in recent wars are buried.

Trump’s campaign has gone on the offensive and, among other things, described the cemetery worker as a “despicable individual” and claimed that he had some kind of momentary mental disorder.

According to the US Armed Forces, the staff member acted professionally. The armed forces condemn the incident and call it regrettable.
