Students come from all over the world… This prestigious school, “comparable to no other”, offers a unique living environment and conditions. And it’s an hour from Paris by plane. Here’s what the students learn.
More than 100,000 euros per year for students from CE2 to 6th grade and nearly 150,000 euros per year from 5th to Terminale: this is the price to pay to join the Institut Le Rosey, the most expensive school in the world, founded in 1880. Often nicknamed “the school of kings”, this prestigious institution welcomes around 450 students from 8 to 18 years old, from more than 60 different countries. Teaching is bilingual, with courses in French and English, and students can choose between the International Baccalaureate (IB) or the general French Baccalaureate.
This private international school located in the Vaudois commune of Rolle, Switzerland, is distinguished by a rigorous academic program, combined with a very high level of artistic and sports training. Students can study up to four languages among the 20 offered, and benefit from one teacher for less than four students. The infrastructure is exceptional, with two campuses: one in Rolle on the shores of Lake Geneva for the fall and spring seasons, and another in Gstaad, dedicated to winter sports.
The campus offers facilities comparable to those of a luxury resort, including an equestrian centre, football and rugby pitches, tennis courts, swimming pools, as well as a theatre and concert hall. Students also take part in unique activities such as skiing, where they can become real experts, thanks to regular lessons throughout the winter.
Finally, the opportunities are excellent and represent a strong argument for parents: nearly 80% of graduates continue their studies in the United States or the United Kingdom and more than a third of them join the most prestigious schools such as Harvard, Cambridge or Stanford.
