US, inflation stable in July

USA leading indicator worsens in April

(Finance) – On the rise household income Americans, as well as personal expenses. According to the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) U.S. Personal Consumption (PCE) rose 0.5% in July from 0.3% in the previous month and in line with analysts’ expectations.

Personal income increased by 0.3%, above the previous month’s +0.2% and the consensus.

The PCE price index core, a measure of inflationshows a positive variation of 0.2% on the month, as recorded in the previous month, in line with market estimates and of 2.6% on the year, below the expected +2.7% and equal to the +2.6% of June.
