  • White House: Six hostages found dead

    The six people found dead in a tunnel under Rafah in Gaza last night were hostages, the White House confirmed in a statement on Sunday morning.

    One of them was American-Israeli citizen Hersh Goldberg-Polin.

    He was attending the Nova music festival on October 7 when Hamas carried out its act of terror, kidnapping over 200 people.

  • Hundreds of protesters imprisoned

    More than 700 people arrested in connection with post-election demonstrations in Venezuela have been taken to high-security prisons, a human rights organization said on Saturday.

    The detainees, who were in police stations around the country, should, according to the organization, have been moved to two notorious, formerly gang-controlled institutions.

    The police state that two people were found injured in the street after the alarm about the shooting.

    “During the robbery attempt, a physical dispute arose in which both the suspect and the victim were injured,” the police write in a statement.

    Ricky Pearsall is being treated in hospital. The San Francisco 49ers say his condition is serious, but stable.

  • Patient sent home – bowel ruptured

    Nine days after an operation in January, a patient was discharged from Näl hospital (Norra Älvsborg County Hospital) in Trollhättan, despite the patient having severe abdominal pain and shortness of breath. The same evening, he was picked up by ambulance and it was found that an intestine had ruptured, writes TTELA.

    Israeli operations in the occupied West Bank continued for the fourth day on Saturday.

    An Israeli soldier has been killed.

    Israel’s military has not given any details about what happened when the soldier was killed.

    During the night of Saturday, two Palestinians were killed on separate occasions. Both blew up cars near Israeli settlements and were killed in the process by Israeli soldiers. Hamas praises the blasts, but without linking the Palestinians to the terror-labeled group.

    A total of 22 people have been killed in Israeli strikes in the northern West Bank since Wednesday, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health. Most have been killed in the city of Jenin.

  • Young man hit – taken to hospital

    A pedestrian, a man in his 20s, has been hit by a car on national highway 61 in the municipality of Kil in Värmland, which Nya Wermlands-Tidningen was the first to report on.

    – He must have crossed the road and been hit, says Maths Thörn, officer on duty at the police to TT.

    The injured man was first taken to hospital in Karlstad.

    The white whale Hvaldimir is dead.
