(Finance) – “I thank the President of the Council Giorgia Meloni and the Council of Ministers for the trust agreed in indicating me to fill the role of member of the European Commission”. This was stated by Minister for European Affairs, Raffaele Fittoappointed today in the Council of Ministers for the role of European Commissioner. Fitto declared himself ready to give his contribution to achieve goals of the new Commission.
“I now look forward with confidence to the next steps foreseen by the Treaties for the completion of the nomination process. In the next five years – Fitto explained in a note – the Commission led by Ursula Von der Leyen will have a fundamental role for the Strengthening the European Unionthe well-being and safety of its citizens as well as to help resolve major international crises. I am ready to contribute to achieving these goals.”
