Plans for asylum center in Soest scrapped after protests

The residents who previously protested against the asylum seekers’ centre are happy that the plans have been scrapped. “Fortunately, the municipality now also sees that De Open Hof is not a suitable location,” says Henk Reddering on behalf of the group of residents. “Not only for the neighbourhood, but also for the people who had to come and live there. On that number of square metres with 140 people, that is not liveable.”
