An explosion has rocked a gas station in Yemen. At least four people were killed and six others were injured in the explosion in the southern city of Aden. Eyewitnesses reported that flames engulfed the station after a series of explosions. The flames, which rose into the sky, were said to have illuminated the night sky and were visible from a large part of the city.
A Yemeni security official expressed serious concern that the death toll could rise due to the gas station’s proximity to residential areas.
No official statement has yet been made regarding the cause of the explosion.
