Paralympics Zakia Khudadadi and refugee women blaze trails in Paris

Zakia Khudadadi, by winning a bronze medal on Thursday 29 August in para-taekwondo, has not only made history in Paralympic sport. In addition to being the first ever para-athlete to win a medal for the refugee delegation, she has sent a message to all Afghan women. Under the glass roof of the Grand Palais, she won so that the world “does not forget them”.
