The first sales figures for the latest Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 are reportedly very disappointing.
It seems that the latest Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 is not attracting the crowds. Only a few weeks after its release, the latest phone The Korean company’s foldable smartphone reportedly only achieved 270,000 sales on the international market. A rather worrying figure given that the opening of pre-orders and the release of the product generally remains the most intensive purchasing period for a smartphone.
Although the foldable smartphone market remains fairly niche, Samsung recently said it would sell nearly a million units by 2023. The company explained at the time that the prize went mainly to its clamshell phone, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip, which accounted for 70% of foldable smartphone sales.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold, the firm’s largest format, therefore remains quite a minority in sales of foldable smartphones and its latest generation does not seem to trigger passions. Samsung had already stated in the past that the majority of buyers of foldable devices come from old users who want a more recent model. The latter would therefore not have found enough interesting new features in the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 to make the transition if we are to believe the first sales figures which do not exceed 300,000 units sold.
