The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, is visiting Stockholm at the beginning of next week, the government office announces.
Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) receives the emir on Monday and Tuesday for a meeting with a focus on the development of cooperation within, among other things, green transition, infrastructure and health care – as well as “discussion of current foreign policy issues”, according to a press release.
On Monday, a dinner is held in Sagerska huset where Crown Princess Victoria also participates. Bilateral discussions between government representatives of both countries await on Tuesday.
According to the government office, Sweden and Qatar plan to sign several bilateral agreements in the above-mentioned areas of cooperation.
