WoW: The War Within is starting and MeinMMO tells you which classes have made the best and which have made the worst impression in the new expansion (Patch 11.0.2).
What do you find here? The War Within, the new expansion for World of Warcraft, has just launched and many players are wondering which class they should use to fight against the Harbinger of the Void and her Nerubian forces.
Or to put it another way: Which tanks, healers and damage specialists have the greatest potential to dominate the PvE content of The War Within? Which of the classes and specializations can you achieve strong results with even as an inexperienced Azeroth hero? MeinMMO clarifies precisely these questions in this article with the help of tier list classifications.
The findings are based on the experiences from the alpha or beta and from the early access phase, but also from simulations with SimulationCraft – we then compared the figures with the results of other websites such as icy-veins.com, maxroll.gg and leprestore.com as well as with professional players such as Maximum or KaidGames2.
Before we start, a disclaimer: In almost all of WoW’s content, it doesn’t matter whether your class performs a few percent better or worse than others. If you just want to experience Blizzard’s MMORPG (apart from the highest difficulty levels), choose the class and specialization that you personally enjoy the most or that appeals to you because of its class fantasy.
Important! Especially at the beginning of an expansion, a lot can change due to the daily hotfixes implemented by Blizzard. There will also be larger balancing patches at some point. MeinMMO will therefore update this article regularly for you.

But in my groups the classes perform differently, what’s going on? If you run numerous simulations or look at the uploaded logs of the entire WoW community, you quickly notice that characters with comparable equipment achieve different DPS or healing values.
This is due to numerous factors such as the player’s skill and experience, knowledge of the fight, type of fight, number of critical hits or procs and so on. So what you can see from the simulations and logs is:
This in turn means that a player who has mastered a class with only average potential almost perfectly can squeeze more DPS out of it than a moderately experienced player who is currently playing the class with the highest damage potential. This of course also applies to tanks and healers.
