Frederick Assor is competing in his second Paralympic Games in track cycling, after those in Tokyo. The 39-year-old Ghanaian and his pilot Rudolf Mensah certainly did not shine on Thursday, August 29, with the worst time in the individual pursuit over 4,000 meters. But the rider, who became blind at the age of 14, is nonetheless enjoying his presence in Paris and his status as the only African ambassador for the discipline.
