Vuelta 2024: the 12th stage and the general classification

Vuelta 2024 the 10th stage and the general classification

14:08 – Departure in a few minutes

Short stage this Thursday, August 29 on the Vuelta with 137 kilometers starting from Ourense. The peloton will set off for the fictitious start at 2:10 p.m.

13:15 – O’Connor worried?

While his lead remains significant, the Australian has lost a lot of time once again to Primoz Roglic and his rivals. “It’s not the worst-case scenario but I’m not naive, there are a lot of guys who are really dangerous in this race. I’ve had better days and that’s the story of La Vuelta for me so far, a good day, an average day, a good day, an average day… Hopefully I can change that and be good every day!”

11:30 – A fireworks stage

With only 137 kilometres, this 12th stage in line is the shortest of the Vuelta and promises a real fireworks display with a breakaway that has a chance of going all the way. The riders will gradually climb towards the foot of the Manzaneda ski resort. If the finish at the top is not the most difficult, it could still do some damage depending on the fatigue of the riders and the pace of the race.
