Terraced houses are on fire in Tumba, south of Stockholm

Emergency services and police are on the scene in Tumba after a terraced house caught fire.

The alarm came at seven o’clock on Thursday morning.

– We have received an alarm about heavy smoke development, says Emil Ringh, the duty officer of the rescue service.

– It is a terraced house with seven apartments and there is a fire in one residential part.

Residents have been evacuated and the fire service is now working to get the fire under control.

– When it comes to terraced houses, there is always a risk that it will spread to the whole area. Now there is above all a risk of smoke spreading, says Emil Ringh.
