A new shooter on Steam wants to revolutionize the genre with its innovative approach and the release is in just a few days.
Which shooter is it? Spectre Divide (PC). This is a tactical shooter developed by Mountaintop Studios in collaboration with Twitch streamer and former professional gamer shroud.
The gameplay of Spectre Divide is very reminiscent of games like Valorant and Counter-Strike, but with only 3 players per team and a special twist: each player has a second body.

Release of Spectre Divide in just a few days
What do we know about the release? Spectre Divide has announced that the shooter will be released on September 3, 2024. The servers are scheduled to go online at 6:00 p.m. German time.
Spectre Divide will be released on Steam as a F2P title.
What makes the shooter special? In Spectre Divide, 2 teams of 3 players compete against each other – not the usual 5v5. One team defends, one team attacks. The attackers’ goal is to plant a bomb. The defenders’ goal is to prevent the bomb from being planted or to defuse the planted bomb.
You also collect money with each round you play, which you then use to buy weapons and gadgets. These are dropped when you are eliminated. There is no respawn. Unlike in CS2 and Valorant, however, in Spectre Divide you use the scope much more and can move while shooting without losing precision.
The big special feature of the shooter is the so-called “Spectre”, which is a second body that every player has at their disposal in every round. You can quickly switch to this second body at the touch of a button during the current round and use it tactically.
Spectre Divide has a very unique gameplay through the use of a second body and its innovative approach makes it one of the most exciting shooters of the year. Of course, that’s no guarantee that everyone will like the game.
