Man dead – found with gunshot wound in car

At 8pm on Tuesday evening, the police were called to Botkyrka south of Stockholm. This after a car drove into a tree. Inside the car, a man in his 20s was found with a gunshot wound, who was later pronounced dead in hospital.

The police, who also state that witnesses heard gunshots shortly before the accident, are investigating the incident as a murder.

Viking ship capsized – one presumed dead

There were six people on board the ship, which is a replica of a Viking ship, when it ran into distress off the Stad peninsula on the Norwegian west coast.

Five people were later rescued by helicopter, but one person is still missing and on Tuesday evening the Norwegian rescue service stated that he is now presumed dead.

Soccer player Juan Izquierdo is dead

Uruguayan footballer Juan Izquierdo, who collapsed during a soccer match in São Paulo last week, has died in hospital after cardiac arrest linked to heart rhythm disturbances.

Club Nacional describes the 27-year-old’s death as an “irreplaceable loss”.
