Since their divorce, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have not been seen together. But they could meet again at a movie event.

They were one of Hollywood’s most glamorous couples for 12 years. But since their separation in 2016, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been at loggerheads in court over custody of their children and their shared property. While the 60-year-old actor reportedly gave up custody of his children to only accept visitation rights, the former couple is now at loggerheads over a slew of commercial properties. Tensions are therefore at their peak, as the duo could cross paths again in the coming days.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are both expected to attend this year’s Venice Film Festival, Italy’s prestigious film festival, which runs from Wednesday 28 August to Saturday, September 7. The former will be alongside George Clooney to present the action film WolfsThe second promises to cause a sensation in Mariaa biopic by Pablo Larrain in which she plays the Greek singer Maria Callas.

The calendar should, however, work in favor of the two exes, since the two films are not presented in the same week. Maria Angelina Jolie’s film is screened on Thursday, August 29, while Wolfs will be visible on Sunday, September 1st. Unless the stars of the silver screen, in conflict since their divorce, take advantage of the event to settle certain conflicts, in particular the question of the Château Miraval vineyard which has set them against each other for several years?

However, things seem to be off to a bad start, as the two stars continue to argue over the Var vineyard and their other joint businesses and properties. At the same time, Brad Pitt’s children continue to disavow their father: Shiloh, the couple’s daughter, has officially abandoned her father’s surname to take her mother’s name, several American media outlets have reported in recent weeks.

The reasons for the couple’s split were never clear until a lawsuit filed by Angelina Jolie surfaced. She accuses her ex-husband of domestic violence and child abuse. In a 2022 lawsuit, she claimed that Pitt grabbed her head and shook it during a family robbery in 2016, before trying to choke one of their children who intervened and hitting another who tried to defend his mother. She again accused him of physical violence in a deposition last April. Pitt has denied the allegations.
