The police have cordoned off a large area at a parking lot in Eriksborg, in the western part of Västerås. They were called to the scene at 3.30pm on Tuesday afternoon.
Witnesses tell SVT Nyheter Västmanland that they heard 5-6 bangs that sounded like gunfire.
The police confirm that they have patrols on site and are working in a fairly large area in the western parts of the city.
– We are investigating what happened, says Maria Hall, police spokesperson.
Has anyone been injured?
– There is currently no information on personal injuries.
