Opdenhovel explains why Schlag den Star had to be interrupted

On Saturday evening, the show Schlag den Star featured a star duel between singer Vanessa Mai and entrepreneur Amira Aly. Amira appeared under her maiden name for the first time, completely breaking away from her ex-husband Oliver Pocher. The show was not off to a good start – and the winners didn’t exactly score points with their performance either.

Thunderstorm at Schlag den Star: Games had to be postponed

While the duel between the two stars was in full swing on Schlag den Star, a violent thunderstorm was brewing outside. Moderator Matthias Opdenhövel actually wanted to move on to the next game, but decided against it: “It’s too dangerous. We’re postponing the games a little bit.” Games four and five, which were supposed to take place outdoors, had to be postponed.

“I don’t like it”: Fans are disappointed with Amira Aly

The viewers were not convinced by the show. Amira Aly in particular was criticized. One user on Instagram said: “Amira doesn’t belong there, I really don’t like her at all.” While another Instagram user gleefully wrote about her name change: “With this name, she will fortunately disappear into the eternal distance again.”

But there are also fans who defend Amira Aly:

Olli’s fans are over 40 and hate a 30-year-old woman just because some nasty guy can’t live with the fact that his wife left him.

However, most viewers complained that it was not reported to whom the 100,000 euros were donated. Fans therefore suspected that the winnings were not donated, as one Instagram user wrote:

“I didn’t know that celebrities or wannabe celebrities were allowed to keep the money they won. I don’t think that’s a good idea.” When is Beat the Star on?

Beat the Star is broadcast at irregular intervals on ProSieben. The next edition has already been confirmed: On October 12 Max Giesinger competes against Daniel Donskoy. The last episode from Saturday can be watched for free on Joyn.
