Fans of The Rookie who are currently waiting for the 7th season of the cop series could pass the time with another format from series creator Alexi Hawley on Netflix. He seems to have a love for inexperienced greenhorns at work, because we are talking about the spy thriller The Recruit with Noah Centineo as a young agent.

In the spy series, the young lawyer Owen Hendricks (Centineo) is still brand new at the CIAwhen he is suddenly drawn into the dangerous world of international espionage. The Eastern European informant Max Meladze (Laura Haddock), who is in prison for the murder of a trucker, threatens to publish top secret information if she is not released from prison.
As he navigates the case, Owen finds himself caught between dangerous politically motivated fronts and ultimately must risk his life to fulfill his duties and emerge unscathed.

Lead actor Centineo has previously appeared in Netflix romcoms such as To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before and The Perfect Date and also starred in the superhero film Black Adam. A second season of his spy series, which he also serves as executive producer, is currently in the works and should go online by 2025 at the latest.

When will new episodes of The Rookie continue?
Anyone who only swears by the greenhorn format The Rookie with Nathan Fillion as a slightly older junior cop will have to be patient. The 7th season will not be released until 2025 and does not yet have an official start date.
There are currently only four seasons of The Rookie available on Netflix. For seasons five and six, you have to turn to the streaming services WOW and Sky Go.
