(Finance) – It will start next September 19th in the Senate a moment of confrontation to discuss the The future of the Court of Auditors 162 years after its birthwithin the political-parliamentary debate which includes on the agenda a bill on the modification of the functions of the accounting magistracy and of the liability for damage to the treasury.
In the Senate, in the Zuccari Hall of Palazzo Giustiniani, the conference “1862/2024: a Court of Auditors increasingly useful to the Country” will take place, organized on the initiative of the senator Salvatore Sallemiin collaboration with the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”.
After the greetings of Nathan Levialdi Ghiron and Venerating Maranothe professor Francis Xavier Marini will introduce the technical-scientific reports of Tommaso Miele, Luigi Balestra, Gennaro Terracciano, Marcello Cecchetti and Roberto Benedetti on the various functions of administrative jurisdiction:: control function (is Cavour’s original idea still relevant in third millennium Italy?) advisory function (valid complement to the preventive control of legitimacy or co-management risk?), investigative function (closing loop of the control system or autonomous source of “fear of signature”?), judging function (effective protection against the impoverishment of the treasury, with the selection of dishonest/incompetent administrators, or the risk of “ne bis in idem” with respect to ordinary jurisdiction?).
