Israel’s airstrikes against Gaza continue.
Over the past 24 hours, 71 people have died and 112 have been injured, according to the Hamas-controlled Ministry of Health in Gaza. Sky News.
Eight Palestinians, including six from the same family, are said to have died in an Israeli attack on Deir el-Balah during the night, sources in Gaza told Al Jazeera.
The Social Democrats want the municipalities to take over all private HVB homes that take in young criminals.
– The aim is to get rid of unserious actors, raise the quality and gain more control, says party leader Magdalena Andersson.
According to the party, the development in today’s HVB homes is going in the wrong direction, where young people with a criminal background, rather than receiving care, risk being drawn deeper into crime and being recruited into gangs.
– We continue to see shooting after shooting. It creeps further down the ages and it is obvious that it is going in the wrong direction, says Magdalena Andersson.
According to the proposal, the HVB homes are to be divided into different security classes depending on the young people’s risk profile, which the Social Democrats also proposed earlier.
The expanded powers that would come with a municipalization deal, for example, with the possibility for staff to search rooms, as well as restrictions on electronic communication and staying outside homes.

Ann Wilson is leaving the Let’s dance jury, she writes on Facebook.
“It is with sadness in my heart but with a huge dose of pride and gratitude that I want to share that my journey in the Let’s Dance jury is over,” she writes.
She writes that she was informed by the TV4 editors earlier this week about “changes to the program”. Furthermore, she writes that she wishes them all the best in the future.
In total, she has done 18 seasons of the show.
She is the second member of the jury to leave since the production decided to make changes for the coming season.
Yesterday, Aftonbladet reported that Dermot Clemenger was also forced to leave.
Tony Irving announced yesterday that he also received calls from production – but he was offered to continue.

The police have found a suspected dangerous object in Kalmar.
– The public calls in and has found something strange. It is suspected that it could be dangerous. We will arrive at the scene and cannot assess yet, says Sara Andersson at the police in Syd.

A man who had been missing from his home in Obbola in Umeå municipality since Saturday afternoon has now been found alive, the police write on their website.

The growing political crisis in Venezuela is causing “extreme concern” within the EU, says the Union’s foreign affairs chief Josep Borrell.
Venezuela has failed to present the necessary evidence to establish the election results, says Borrell.
“Only results that are complete and verified by independent parties will be accepted and recognized,” the statement said, with Borrell calling for votes from all constituencies to be published in their entirety.
Both incumbent President Nicolás Maduro and the opposition declared themselves winners after the July 28 election, and the ensuing unrest has so far claimed 27 lives. Almost 200 people have been injured and around 2,400 have been arrested.
Maduro’s claim to electoral victory has been questioned by several Latin American countries, the US and the EU.

The development of smoke at the Royal Opera in Stockholm ended without the Rescue Service being able to find an explanation, says the Opera’s press officer Jenny Mattson.
– Of course we have to find out where the smoke came from, she says.
When the fire alarm went off on Saturday evening, there was no audience left at the Opera. The smoke came from the top floor where the Opera House has its ballet department and costume studio.
During the night, the Statens Fastighetsverk (SFV) had the building under supervision and the investigations into the development of smoke will continue on Sunday.
– SFV is also renovating the roof, but I don’t know if that has anything to do with it, says Jenny Mattsson.
At ten o’clock on Saturday morning, three divers were in the water with some kind of accident outside Höganäs, writes Helsingborgs Dagblad.
One of the divers is seriously injured, according to Jessica Schale, spokesperson for the Scania region. The diver has been taken by helicopter to a pressure chamber in Lund.
In a pressure chamber, there is extra high air pressure, which helps the body heal after certain injuries.
A Reuters journalist who reports on the war in Ukraine has disappeared after an attack on a hotel in the eastern Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk, writes Reuters editorial director in Russia, Guy Faulconbridge at X.
Two more journalists are injured and have been taken to hospital.
Several people raised the alarm about a loud bang in central Gävle at half past six on Sunday morning.
The police rushed to the scene but found nothing to indicate a detonation.
The police are investigating the incident as public vandalism.
A suspected perpetrator has been arrested by French police after yesterday’s explosion at a synagogue, reports say BBC.
The man is suspected of setting fire to and causing an explosion outside the synagogue near the town of La Grande-Motte.
In French media, it is reported that the suspect shot at the police who were about to arrest him. He was then shot at himself and injured.
Five people were in the synagogue when the explosion took place. One police officer was injured, but not life-threatening.

A man is suspected of attempted murder in a residence in Enköping at around two o’clock on the night of Sunday.
The police were alerted to a disturbance in the residence and once there they encountered a man in his 30s who had been injured with a sharp object and taken to hospital.
Another man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. The man was later arrested.
