In South Africa the figures of the last census provoke

Statistics South Africa has been publishing, in phases, since last October, the results of its 2022 census, which included for the first time telephone interviews and online questionnaires, as the country emerged from the Covid-19 pandemic. The first figures released surprised researchers and demographers, because of the rate of people not surveyed. But the controversy has swelled again in recent days, as the institute announced that it would not publish certain data.
