You can try Diablo 4 for free right now – but only for a short time

If you’re looking to check out Diablo 4, now’s the perfect time. Many of you can play it for free on one platform right now, but you only have a few days left.

You can get a free, limited-time look at Diablo 4 on Steam. If you open the game’s shop page, you’ll currently find a “Start Game” button under the trailer. You don’t have to pay any money for it.

How long is the offer valid? You can still play Diablo 4 for free for three more days, until August 27, 2024 at 7 p.m. However, the offer is only valid on Steam and does not mean that you can download the game at that time and “keep” it forever. After the promotion, you will probably simply no longer have access to it.

But even if you want to keep the game after you’ve tried it out and continue playing it, there is currently an offer.

Season 5 is currently running in Diablo 4. In the video you get an insight into the content:

Try it for free – or buy with a discount

Why is it worth taking advantage of the offer? If you’re thinking about trying out Diablo 4 anyway, you can try it out for free. Not all of the content is available, but it’s enough to get a first impression.

According to a post on Reddit, there is a limited leveling option up to level 20 – basically like a demo version. However, that’s enough to try out different content. For example, you can:

And what about Battle.net? There is no way to play Diablo 4 for free for a few days in the Battle.net launcher. There are currently no discounts for the game there either.

What if I want to continue playing after the promotion? As usual, you will find a few options for purchasing the game under the “Start Game” button on Steam. There is a 40 percent discount on the standard edition of Diablo 4 until September 2, 2024 – making the game €29.99.

For the bundle with the expansion “Vessel of Hatred” you pay just under €70 on both Steam and the Battle.net launcher. The first DLC for Diablo 4 costs just under €40 in the standard edition – which means that you also pay just under €30 for the base game here. If you’re planning on getting the bundle, you should keep that in mind.

In the larger editions of Vessel of Hatred you get additional content such as cosmetics and animal companions. You can already pre-purchase all editions on various platforms and use some of these extras in Diablo 4 now. You can find out more here: Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred: Deluxe Edition – What’s in it
