V: Introduce a maximum ceiling in preschool

There is so much that is decided in the preschool. The previous government, and above all this government, has prioritized everything but preschool, says the Left Party’s party leader Nooshi Dadgostar during a press conference.

Previously, the Left Party did not want to see a maximum ceiling for groups in preschool. Now, however, parity proposes binding ceilings and also criteria for how many adults per child there should be.

According to the proposal, there should be a maximum of twelve children in the groups with children under the age of three and a maximum of 15 children in the groups with children over the age of three.

In the case of adults, the requirement shall be a maximum of three children per adult for the young children and a maximum of five children per adult in the older age group.

Pretty high demands are placed on pre-school today. But there are so many resources missing that it is not serious and credible that it is possible to fulfill the requirements that exist. Over fifty percent of children’s groups are larger than the Swedish National Agency for Education recommends, says Nooshi Dadgostar.

The party also wants to see a childcare lift, which is similar to the so-called elderly care lift.
