Esport Oilers started the floorball Champions Cup convincingly Sports

The Champions Cup for club teams started well for the people of Espoo, as the team defeated the Swedish team Pixbo IBK in Gothenburg.

On Friday, the reigning champion of the domestic F-League, Esport Oilers, defeated Pixbo IBK in the opening part of the Champions Cup quarterfinals with a score of 9–4.

The Swedish club was already three goals away in the second period, until the Oilers national team players Aaro Astala and Justus Kainulainen stepped forward.

Astala scored a goal and assisted four in the match. Kainulainen fired three complete hits and passed one.

The teams’ second leg will be played next week Saturday (August 31) in Espoo. A draw is enough for the Oilers to advance.

Among the Finnish teams participating in the Champions Cup is Nokian KRP, who will face Swedish Storvreta IBK in the opening round today.
