    A 20-year-old woman from Gävle who was convicted of attempted murder that took place in the context of a gang conflict in Norrköping last fall has appealed her sentence to the Court of Appeal, Siren reports.

    But the prosecution wants her to be sentenced for having shot dead a 17-year-old boy in Norrköping and has appealed.

    “The evidence is sufficient for NN to be convicted of murder and aggravated weapons offences,” says the appeal from the prosecutor.

    The woman has also appealed and wants to be acquitted on the point of attempted murder.

    The 20-year-old was charged with murder when, according to the indictment, she would have arranged a meeting with the boy and fired the shots that killed him. In the district court, she was acquitted on that point and sentenced to 12 years in prison for attempted murder after shooting through an apartment door where several people were.

  • Detonation in stairwell in Helsingborg

    Something has detonated in a stairwell on Södergatan in Helsingborg.

    The police received several calls about loud bangs in the area around 03:45.

    – After a while we were able to find a stairwell where something had detonated and there is relatively extensive damage to the doors, roof, walls, says Magnus Lefévre.

    The national bomb squad has been called there and residents in the stairwell are asked to remain in their apartments.

    We are in the process of securing the location and then we work with witness interviews and see if there may be any person or activity in the property that may have had an intended threat image, but that is not clear at the moment, says Magnus Lefévre.

    No one should be injured. No person has been deprived of liberty and the incident is classified as gross destruction of public danger.

    At 05.30 the site was still cordoned off.
