A US drone has killed a leader of an al-Qaida-allied group in northwestern Syria, according to the US military’s Middle East Command Center, Centcom.
Abu Abdul Rahman Makki was killed while riding a motorcycle. According to Centcom, he was the leader of the Horas al-Din group and responsible for organizing terrorist attacks from Syria.
The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) says he was a Saudi national.
