Eindhoven, Enschede, Tilburg, Zevenaar, Noardeast-Fryslân, Oude IJsselstreek, Maassluis, Heemstede, Oldebroek, the Zaanstreek-Waterland region, Heerenveen and Meierijstad, among others, indicate that they are specifically working on expanding the number of shelters for Ukrainian refugees. For example, Eindhoven will soon have 279 new places in buildings that are being converted for this purpose. “These places will become available in phases within two to eight weeks,” says a spokesperson. Eindhoven currently has 1274 shelter places.
