Autumn is fast approaching and so is the autumn rush. For the weekend, you must be ready with a rain jacket and boots because large parts of the country will be affected by rain and wind.

The autumn months are September, October and November. But the autumn weather can move in both earlier and later than that.

According to SMHI, it is autumn when the daily temperature is below 10 degrees for five following days. Although August lasts a while longer, autumn has already arrived in parts of Sweden.

News24 have talked to Tonymeteorologist at SMHI, who tells us that the weekend weather will be bordered by rain, debris and wind.

Already during Friday, a low pressure will arrive, bringing rain and wind with it. Tony says that it will rain the most in the western parts of the country.

– There will be wind of 23 to 24 meters per second. It’s quite a lot, not for a warning, but close. It will be windy today during the evening, says Tony.

At the same time, a yellow warning has been issued in the mountains for strong winds.

– From time to time there can be very strong gusts of wind, he says.

The warning remains in effect on Saturday. Then the storm will also move north.

– The low pressure is moving north, and the rain area is also moving north. So tomorrow it will be rain and showers in Norrland. It will also be windy.
