Appointment of a Prime Minister in France Emmanuel Macron prolongs

Emmanuel Macron will be receiving the leaders of the parties and political groups represented in Parliament from Friday 23 August, starting with those of the New Popular Front who wished to come together and accompanied by their candidate for Matignon, Lucie Castets. Those of the central bloc and the Republican right will follow, and on Monday 26 August Marine Le Pen, Jordan Bardella and Éric Ciotti. After six weeks of “settling” since the legislative elections, the Head of State is initiating the process that should lead to the appointment of a new Prime Minister. In the meantime, he is letting rumours circulate about the contenders for Matignon.
