The question is whether it is not one of the world’s most publicized adultery cases – right up there Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinskyor maybe Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson.
Over 20 years have passed since the Swedish football legend Sven-Göran “Svennis” Eriksson and the presenter Ulrika Jonsson had his business in 2002. At the same time, Svennis was together with the Italian lawyer Nancy Dell’Olio. After the infidelity, Svennis and Nancy still stayed together until 2007.
In his autobiography, Svennis wrote about what Nancy really thought of Ulrika – namely that she did not “deserve to be on the same plane as Nancy” and that Ulrika was a “prostitute”.

Many years later, Ulrika directed a sour boot at Nancy. On the occasion of a documentary about Ulrika and Svenni’s affair that came out in 2022, Ulrika wrote a column in The Sun – where there was some backlash.
“She mocked me because she simply refused to believe that our brief affair had taken place. But her beef should have been with the short, small bald guy, not with me?” Ulrika wrote.
In her column in The Sun, Ulrika also claimed that the documentary was full of factual errors. Something that, according to Ulrika, is not true at all is a rumor that Svennis would have put his shoes outside her bedroom.

“That’s not true. Everyone knows that you take off your shoes in the hall at my house. Even Sven knows that. It’s a Swedish thing,” revealed Ulrika.

Svennis about the affair with Faria Alam
Now Svennis and Ulrika’s affair is back on the agenda. In the new documentary Svennis on Amazon Prime, Svennis talks openly about everything from his illness to his many women.
In addition to having deceived Nancy with Ulrika, he also had a romance with her Faria Alamwho was then secretary of the English FA.
Faria talks about how Svennis encouraged her to make a profit from their business. This after Faria was fired from the FA because of the affair with Svennis.
– He said “Tell your story, go and tell them everything. Make some money from it, why not?”, says Faria in the documentary.

Faria earned over 4 million kroner from telling her story, but in the documentary Svennis she says that it was painful to be portrayed as a “disgusting gold digger”.
– I felt very sorry for her. She lost her job, and two others at the FA were also fired, says Svennis.

Svenni’s words about the affair with Ulrika Jonsson
In the documentary Svennis, he tells about that April morning in 2002, when the British Daily Mirror revealed Svennis’ affair with Ulrika.
The football agent Athole Still called Svennis and gave him a piece of advice that day: Don’t let Nancy read the papers today.
Svennis then replied: “It’s too late, there are 100 photographers outside already”.

About the affair with Ulrika, Svennis says:
– Sex is one of the good things in life for all of us. She was not married. I wasn’t married. I was probably stupid but I don’t feel like I did anything criminal. I didn’t bother anyone directly, he says in the documentary Svennis, writes British The Sun.

Svennis has never seemed particularly remorseful over his affair with Ulrika. In his autobiography, Svennis wrote in 2013 about why he never apologized to Nancy.
“They were the ones who thought I should have apologized to Nancy in public. But it was nobody else’s business. I didn’t feel I had anything to apologize for,” Svennis wrote in the book.
Svennis today – cohabiting with girlfriend Yaniseth Alcide
Today, Svennis lives with his partner Yaniseth Alcidean ex-dancer he met during his time in Mexico. Svennis and Yaniseth have been a couple for 15 years and live together in Värmland.
Svennis is seriously ill with pancreatic cancer. It is not operable. In an interview with Swedish Radio told Svennis earlier this year about the disease.
– At best, I have one year left. At worst, a little less, he said then.
