– It was a private person who passed an object and thought it looked suspicious and alerted us, says Fredrik Bratt, the police’s spokesperson in the southern region.
The police cannot rule out that the object is not dangerous and the National Bomb Squad has been called to the scene.
– Sometimes the police can make an initial assessment of whether the object is dangerous or not, but sometimes it doesn’t work and then we have to call in the national bomb squad, says Fredrik Bratt.
National bomb protection
At 9 p.m., the national bomb squad arrived at the scene, but it is still unclear whether it is a sharp object.
– No matter what the object is, they take care of it in a safe way, says Fredrik Bratt.
The alarm was received by the police at 4 p.m.
