After shock cancellation of The Acolyte The Star Wars story

After eight episodes, The Acolyte ended with many unanswered questions. There will be no answers to these questions on Disney+, as the Star Wars series was canceled after season 1. But that doesn’t mean that the story from the sci-fi universe is lost. Instead, fans get a The Acolyte sequel of a different kind.

Recently, The Acolyte showrunner Leslye Headland spoke about how a second season of the Star Wars saga series would not have had a happy ending for the Sith. Fans will probably learn more about the backstory of central The Acolyte characters in Comic bookswhich were announced at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.

According to Collider, the Wookie Jedi Master Kelnacca and the Jedi Knight Vernestra Rwoh will get their own comic book issues about their past. The story about Kelnacca is written by Cavan Scott and Marika Cresta, while Justina Ireland is responsible for Star Wars: The Acolyte: Wayseeker about Vernestra.

What’s next for Star Wars on Disney+?

After The Acolyte, the launch of the next series from the Star Wars universe has already been confirmed. December 3, 2024 The first episode of Skeleton Crew, starring stars such as Jude Law, is released on 24th June. The focus is on the four children named Fern (Ryan Kiera Armstrong), Neel (Robert Timothy Smith), Wim (Ravi Cabot-Conyers) and KB (Kyriana Kratter).
