The Amazon series Perfectly Missed has been available to stream on Prime Video since August 15, 2024. The comedy duo Anke Engelke and Bastian Pastewka, known from LOL: Last One Laughing, among other things, provide plenty of laughs, witty romcom jabs and unexpectedly serious moments. Immediately after its launch, Perfekt Vermisst landed at number 1 in the Amazon Prime Video charts and received good ratings. The chances that the comedy series will be continued are already good. At the moment, however, the series has been not yet officially extended.

Is there life after “missing out” for Maria and Ralf?
In an interview with Südkurier, lead actress Anke Engelke is not opposed to a second season:
We all had a lot of fun with Perfekt and agree that it is a very special project. Of course, please, this should never stop. But it’s also nice to know that everyone who likes the series and recommends it can play a little bit of fate in this regard.When could Perfectly Missed Season 2 start on Prime Video?
Since no sequel to the comedy series has been commissioned yet, there is of course no start date. However, looking at the first season, it is already possible to roughly estimate when season 2 could be seen on Prime Video.
The production of the first eight episodes of Perfekt Verpasst took place between March and June 2023 in Marburg and Cologne. It then took over a year until the actual series started. So we should expect for the first time that a Season 2 not until 2026 on Prime Video will be seen.
Does an Amazon sequel to Perfectly Missed even make sense?

More Anke and Bastian. That’s actually a wish that no comedy fan can deny. Their scenes together are among the great highlights of the Amazon series and make you want more. In the case of Perfekt Verpasst, however, there is an obstacle that at first glance stands in the way of a sequel: There is nothing left to miss!

Bastian Pastewka and Anke Engelke: Don’t miss anything
The concept of the comedy series plays with strange circumstances that lead to Maria and Ralf always just miss and thus cannot get to know each other directly – even if they are in the same room. However, after the first season, their story of missing each other is complete and there is a romantic happy ending.
Maria and Ralf have actually found each other. So there is no logical scenario in which they can walk past each other again for eight episodes. However, season 1 has not yet brought all the storylines to a consistent conclusion and a few questions left unansweredWill the novel collaboration between Maria and Johanna (Henny Reents) really work? Can the friendship between Maria and Nikki (Fritzi Haberlandt) still be saved? A second season could provide answers to these questions.
A sequel is not impossible, of course. On the one hand, a sequel could of course ignore the previous comedy concept. However, the series title would then hardly make any sense. However, it is also possible that Season 2 just a new couple from the environment of Maria and Ralf takes center stage, although the previous main characters could return as supporting characters.
