A man in his 30s is charged after the police found almost 24 kilograms of explosives in a suitcase in his home in Gothenburg. Roughly 500 grams of cocaine and nearly eight kilograms of cannabis resin were also found in the apartment, reports Göteborgs-Posten.

Before the explosives and drugs were found, the police had witnessed how the man left a kilo of hashish to a couple of teenagers not far from the home.

The man is therefore charged with a serious drug crime and for a crime against the Act on Flammable and Explosive Goods, an especially serious crime.

According to the man, he had received the bag of explosives a few days earlier. At the time, he did not know what it contained, but was told that it would be picked up shortly.
