The world’s biggest sporting event moves to TV4.
Together with SVT, TV4 broadcasts the Olympic Games from 2026.
– Now the Olympic rings are moving to TV4 for the first time ever and it is in line with TV4’s ambition to bring Sweden together and continue to build Sweden’s entire streaming service TV4 Play, says Fredrik Arefalk, channel and content director.
TV4 has bought the free-to-air TV rights to the Olympics. It includes Milan/Cortina in 2026, Los Angeles in 2028, the French Alps in 2030 and Brisbane in 2032.
The games will be broadcast on both TV4 and TV4 Play.
– This is a milestone for us. The Olympics is a very strong addition to our sports portfolio. TV4 brings Sweden together and the Olympics is one of the events that interests the most Swedes, says Johan Cederqvist, TV4 sports director.
Free and TV rights to the 2026-2032 Olympics are shared between TV4 and SVT.
– The Olympics are a campfire that will now burn with us until 2032 and I am really looking forward to making this a grand event for the whole of Sweden, says Fredrik Arefalk.
