Everything is carefully analyzed: frequency of publications, types of publications, hashtags, photos, music shared, spelling… The result is piquant and often comes close to the truth. Roast Master: The Data Protection Issue
Behind the Roast Master is Monica, a Google Chrome extension created by Butterfly Effect, a Singapore-based company founded in 2023. Thanks to the most advanced language models (GPT-4o, Claude 3, etc.), Monica is a real assistant with whom you can chat in natural language. It can correct your texts, summarize documents and web pages, or even generate images. Its roast function allows it to gain popularity, as evidenced by the many posts on X and TikTok from users trying this practice!
But this collective self-mockery cannot prevent some questions. As pointed out a user on RedditAI is able to analyze accounts set to “private”, which makes us question the confidentiality promised by social networks – remember that X is the target of eight complaints in Europe for illegal use of its users’ personal data. In addition, the methods used by Butterfly Effect are not the most transparent on this subject… One more reminder that you have to be very careful about what you publish on the Net!
