Putin visited the grave of Chechnya’s first leader Akhmet Kadyrov in the Kurchaloyevsky district and then visited the Russian Special Forces University in Gudermes with Kadyrov.
“WITH SOLDIERS LIKE YOU, WE WILL BE VERY INVISIBLE”
Putin met with Chechen troops and volunteers who are training to fight in Ukraine at the university and received information from officials. “As long as we have soldiers like you, we will always be invincible. It’s one thing to shoot here at the range, it’s another to risk your life and health. But you have a moral need to defend the motherland and the courage to make such a decision,” he said.

Kadyrov and Putin held a working meeting as part of the visit. Kadyrov said in his speech that Chechnya has sent a total of 47,000 soldiers to fight in Ukraine, 19,000 of whom are volunteers. Kadyrov stated that the soldiers sent received training at the Russian Special Forces University, and that tens of thousands of trained soldiers were also ready to go to the military zone.
