On Wednesday, the Ukrainian parliament voted in favor of ratifying the Rome Statute. This was reported by the Ukrainian parliamentarian in the messaging service Telegram Jaroslav Zhelezniak.
The decision is a step towards Ukraine joining the ICC as a member of the International Criminal Court.
The ratification of the Rome Statute is one of the requirements that Ukraine must meet before it can be accepted as a member of the European Union.
