Man charged with several knife attacks in Västerås

Four people were attacked by the same person in two different places in Västerås in April. Now a 34-year-old man is charged, suspected of attempted murder, SVT Västmanland reports.

April 19 was a dramatic day in Västerås. First, a teenage boy was attacked with an attachment outside a school. An hour later, three women in their 70s were stabbed by the same perpetrator, a few kilometers away.

After the attacks, the perpetrator fled to a villa garden where he was shot by the police in connection with the arrest.
