Fans still hope for the sequel

In the Star Wars universe, everything is in flux and there is a lot of movement. Plans change all the time and so, unfortunately, the obviously planned sequels to Solo: A Star Wars Story have not yet come to fruition. But as we all know, hope dies last and you can watch the film again on TV today.

That’s what Solo: A Star Wars Story is about, which is on TV today

The name already makes it abundantly clear who is in the spotlight here. Solo: A Star Wars Story is an anthology spin-off that is dedicated to the smartest and coolest smugglers in the entire galaxy After Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the second spin-off outside the great trilogies followed and tells the backstory of Han Solo (Alden Ehrenreich).

The legendary resistance fighter and talented pilot has nothing to do with the rebellion here. But we get to see how he meets his future companion Chewbacca for the first time and much more. Among others, Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover) also plays an important role in the turbulent adventures of the aspiring young man.

Solo: A Star Wars Story has everything that makes a Star Wars film.

Fans are still hoping (in vain) for a sequel to the Star Wars spinoff about Han Solo

The signs were actually extremely favorableeven though there was no official announcement. At the end of the film itself, however, it becomes abundantly clear that those involved had originally planned to continue the story of Han Solo. After all, there are still some missing pieces of the puzzle between Solo: A Star Wars Story and the first trilogy.

But probably due to the extremely sobering box office results Nothing ever came of it. The solo film is one of the biggest financial flops of the entire franchise and fell far short of commercial expectations (via: The Numbers). But that doesn’t stop fans from campaigning for a sequel under the hashtag #MakeSolo2Happen.

But we also have good news for you (apart from the fact that Solo: A Star Wars Story is coming to TV, of course). One of the best sci-fi series of the year has just been renewed for a second season. Yet far too few people know about the series.
