– I thought that it could ignite the team and the audience a bit, when the atmosphere in the group was a bit tired. Yes, you can feel it (tight match pace) a bit, even if you don’t admit it. We had five quarter-final games and I myself started school on Monday of last week, so I have traveled from school in Tampere to these games, so it has been a challenging equation in that sense as well. But this is how it is, Virkiä’s hero Peräaho laughed.

– We did enough today, there was no sloppy nesting, a very routine and energy-saving match. Maybe tomorrow, after a couple of rest days, will be a little different.

The teams will meet each other again on Wednesday.

In the second semi-final match, Manse PP beat Jyväskylä Kirittäret 1–0 (7-2, 1-1).
