On Tuesday, the Swedish central bank lowered its key interest rate from 3.75 percent to 3.50 percent.
The line was expected and the central bank said that the interest rate can still be lowered before the end of the year.
Inflation, i.e. the rise in prices, was at its highest in Sweden at more than 10 percent in 2022. Since then, inflation has clearly decreased.
Lowering the key interest rate is a key tool used by central banks to curb inflation.
