But slightly better was Sarah Sjöström with double gold medals.
Now the table tennis hero sends a perfect pass to the swimming queen.

What an incredible breakthrough Truls Möregårdh received during the Summer Olympics in Paris. The 22-year-old has long been extremely promising in Swedish table tennis, but now he stepped up to the absolute top of the world.

Möregårdh in the Olympics

Truls impressed right from the start and lined up feat matches in the men’s singles to reach a historic Olympic final. He thus became the first Swede in 24 years to reach this far in a summer Olympics.

It went just as well in the team game when Möregårdh together with his teammates Christian Karlsson and Anton Källberg reached an Olympic final for the first time in Swedish sports history. Both times he had to settle for Olympic silver, but still leaves Paris as one of our great blue and yellow heroes.

Video for Sjöström

It was all the better for the Swedish swimming queen Sarah Sjostrom who instead of two Olympic silvers came home with two Olympic golds around his neck. Now Möregårdh sends a perfect pass to the Swedish Olympic colleague from his much-needed vacation.
“Your gold medals inspire me,” writes Truls along with a video on Instagram.
