On the occasion of World Humanitarian Day, this August 19, the NGO Action for Forgotten Children (Apeo) draws attention to the precarious living conditions of thousands of children in the province of South Kivu, in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Unlike other provinces in the south-east of the country where the situation of women and children is slightly better, South Kivu remains deeply affected by insecurity and poverty.
