Hamas: Israel-US ceasefire proposal blocks deal | News in brief

The Palestinian extremist organization Hamas rejects the cease-fire proposal drawn up by the United States and Egypt. According to Hamas, the Prime Minister of Israel has been included in the presentation Benjamin Netanyahu additional requirements that prevent the agreement, says the Israeli Haaretz magazine.

Negotiations are scheduled to continue later in Cairo.

According to the draft agreement, Hamas would release all its hostages within three weeks. In return, Israel would withdraw from Gaza and release a number of Palestinian prisoners.
